The work generally consists of the removal of distressed pavement (potholes) and replacement with new asphalt concrete pavement, repair of traffic striping and markings, and other related work.  Additional components of the Annual Street Improvement Program, including crack sealing and slurry sealing projects, on the street segments listed above will follow this fall. As such, homeowners who are planning on, or are in the process of doing repair work on their sewer lateral, please be aware that once slurry sealing is completed, a moratorium will commence prohibiting (except under limited circumstances) construction work affecting the street surface. For more information on the City's Street Moratorium Policy please see here.  Visit the Stege Sanitary website for additional information.

Notice from the City's contractor, Paving Construction Services, Inc., will be directly delivered a few days before work begins on that street. The notice will contain information while construction is underway.  In addition, "No Parking" signs will be posted on barricades along the street with specific dates and times that indicate more specifically when the work will be performed.  Please consider parking your vehicle on an adjoining street on the specified day work will take place on your street as access to and from your driveway may be limited while the repair work is underway.  The patch paving work is typically completed within a day with full access restored by the end of the workday. Emergency access will always be allowed and accommodations for individual driveway access may be coordinated with the contractor. Working hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Please expect delays since vehicle travel lanes may be obstructed between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Construction is anticipated to begin late July and completed in September.
