2019 EC Senior Spotlight

EL CERRITO’S HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR SPOTLIGHTS

As you may know, high school seniors everywhere are missing out on a lot right now. In the hopes of sharing their stories and gathering some support we are going to be updating this page with their stories.

HELP US RECOGNIZE, SUPPORT, AND CHEER ON OUR LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR CLASS OF 2020 by printing this sign (or this ECHS Specific one) and hanging it your window or yard for your neighbors to see!

QUINN H.

I was on the El Cerrito Swim Team my entire High School career and I am really disappointed I can’t finish it off. I always looked up to the seniors my last three years and wanted my own senior night and now I can’t experience it. I also started to work at the pool again which was super fun and I actually miss lessons and my kids! In general I miss the community of the pool as well as my other job at the Downtown Berkeley YMCA. Before quarantine I had a very busy schedule and I worked everyday and swam everyday, even though I had to wake up early to swim I surprisingly miss it. My plans for next year are not what I expected but it is what it is, and I am coming to terms with it. I am going to DVC and I’m going to transfer to either UCSB or UCLA to become a pre-vet major. I am really excited and I’ve already started to take online chem and zoology classes in preparation.

AIDAN C.

I played baseball all 4 years of high school.

I was the Vice President of our schools Interact Club for 2 years, and a member of the club for all 4 years of high school.

I was a member of the ultimate frisbee club my first 2 years of high school.

I plan on attending Brigham Young University Provo with a major in statistics in the fall.

Something interesting about me is I have earned the rank of Eagle Scout with El Cerrito Boy Scout Troop 104.
