Easy Ride Paratransit Service (ERPS) (Age 65+)
Easy Ride Paratransit Service is operating on a modified schedule due to COVID-19. ERPS is currently available on Monday and Tuesday between 10am-1:30pm. Riders must wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols at all times. Riders should be prepared to answer health screening questions and temperature checks prior to boarding the vehicle. If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms or are not feeling well, please stay home.
Easy Ride Paratransit Service (ERPS) is a transportation service designed to help El Cerrito Residents age 65 and older and people with disabilities age 18 years and older perform daily activities within El Cerrito city limits. ERPS is funded by the City of El Cerrito and Contra Costa County Measure J sales tax revenue.
During COVID-19, Easy Ride Paratransit Service is restricted to essential transportation defined as trips to the grocery store, pharmacy, bank and medical appointments within El Cerrito city limits. ERPS is operating on a modified schedule with limited hours. ERPS trips are available Monday and Tuesday between 10am-1:30pm (subject to change). Reservations are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Please note that during COVID-19 ERPS trips will be single rider trips with the exception being two riders living in the same household.
- All riders will be asked to answer health screening questions prior to getting on the vehicle.
- All riders must wear a face covering
- Cleaning/disinfecting of the vehicle will be done before and after each rider.
- If you are not feeling well or are having any COVID-like symptoms, you will not be permitted to use ERPS.
How much does it cost?
The cost for Easy Ride Paratransit Service is $2 per one-way trip. Tickets are sold in books of ten ($20/book) and are available by calling (510) 375-5363 or emailing email@example.com. Accepted forms of payment are check made out to "City of El Cerrito" or cash.
Do I have to register for Easy Ride Paratransit Service?

How do I get a ride?
Arranging transportation with Easy Ride Paratransit Service is simple. Rides may be scheduled up to two weeks in advance and are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.
