In an effort to provide safe and accessible bicycle parking throughout El Cerrito, the City has installed bicycle lockers at a number of strategic locations: El Cerrito Plaza BART Station, El Cerrito del Norte BART Station, City Hall (10890 San Pablo Ave), and the Community Center (7007 Moeser Lane).

The lockers provide secure, covered, weather-protected individual bicycle parking spaces operated by BikeLink. Download the BikeLink Bike Parking App from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Use the app to: Find all 530+ public BikeLink facilities; view current availability, rates, photos, and other facility information; Start a rental and park your bike with your gear; And, get 24/7 phone support from BikeLink’s California-based operators. 

BikeLink Facilities are owned by local private and public entities such as transit authorities and municipalities. The BikeLink system is operated by eLock Technologies LLC.

Note: The BikeLink app needs Bluetooth and location permissions to work at BikeLink facilities. When downloading the app, you will be asked to provide some information about yourself and verify your email and phone number. You will also need to provide a credit or debit card before you can start a rental. If you are unable to provide any of that information, reach out to BikeLink at support@bikelink.org or (888) 540-0546 and they will provide you with alternative registration options.

The City has also installed bike racks at bus stops along San Pablo Avenue, at City Hall, at the Community Center, in City parks, and at public schools. The City will continue to explore opportunities for additional bicycle parking throughout town and will require new developments along San Pablo Avenue to include accessible bicycle parking as part of their projects.
