Tiered Measures

City staff will recommend and/or assist the neighborhood in identifying the specific concerns that need to be evaluated and potential traffic management measures that may be appropriate to address those concerns. Neighborhood traffic management measures consist of various types of measures used to influence the behavior of drivers including education, enforcement, and engineering measures. Selection of measures will be based on one of two categories depending on the type and extent of the investigated issues.

As indicated in the Program Objectives, the least restrictive measure that will address the neighborhood concerns will be implemented first. See Sections 2 and 4 of the NTMP Report and Appendix G for additional information.
