El Cerrito Earth Day Celebration
Volunteers planting trees on Earth DayEach year on a Saturday near the official Earth Day date, the City celebrates Earth Day through a morning of volunteerism and work parties, followed by socializing and music at our Volunteer Appreciation Lunch.

Individuals, families and groups of volunteers are encouraged to register to volunteer at a work party. Past projects include removing invasives at Baxter Creek and the Hillside Nature Area, picking up litter along the Ohlone Greenway, tidying parks, and planting street trees.
