Hana Gardens Update

Posted on March 2, 2018 at 12:46 PM by Margaret Livingston

As previously announced, pre-applications for residency at Hana Gardens were accepted by The Housing Authority of Contra Costa County January 16, 2018 - January 21, 2018. A total of 1,700 pre-applications were received to form the waitlist for the site. Community Development staff provided in-person assistance with applications at the Senior Center and over the phone. As a reminder, the project will serve senior residents 62 and over, with incomes of between $21,930 and $46,950 which is equal to between 30% - 50% of the Bay Area Median Income (AMI). Applicants will be contacted by the Housing Authority with confirmation of their position on the list spring 2018. Once the waitlist is transferred to Eden Housing, the first 62 households will be contacted a couple months prior to construction completion. Construction, which began in 2017, is on track to be complete summer 2018.
