The El Cerrito City Council will be considering placing a measure on the ballot to fund a new library. Please come to a public informational meeting to learn more about the current library and plans for a new library space to meet community needs.

• Provide a safe, energy-efficient library that meets earthquake, fire, and green building codes
• Provide cooling, warming, and charging centers during extreme weather events
• Expand library hours
• Provide space for literacy tutoring programs
• Create space for free family programs, activities, and classes
• Provide improved access for seniors and disabled residents
• Enhance children’s programs and book budgets
• Provide a homework center for students
