A. Minutes for Approval

Approve the October 19, 2009 Special Concurrent City Council/Redevelopment Agency Meeting Minutes.

CITY COUNCIL ITEMS

B. National Family Caregivers Month.

Approve a proclamation proclaiming November 2009 as National Family Caregivers Month in the City of El Cerrito.

C. Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Application

Adopt a resolution authorizing the City of El Cerrito to apply for and enter into an agreement with the California Energy Commission (CEC) for Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funds for an amount of no more than $123,066 and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute all necessary agreements to carry out the purposes of the award.

D. Purchase of Replacement Type 1 Engine for Fire Station 72

Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager or his designee to enter into an agreement with Hi-Tech Emergency Vehicle Services to purchase a replacement Type 1 fire engine for Fire Station 72 through a "Tag On" order process in an amount not to exceed $567,335.63.

POLICY MATTERS

Neighborhood Traffic Management on Rockway Avenue

Adopt a resolution:

1) Authorizing the City Engineer/Public Works Director to implement a six-month trial of a half-street closure prohibiting entry onto eastbound Rockway Avenue from Ashbury Avenue; and

2) Authorizing the appropriation of $8,000 from the unrestricted fund balance to cover the cost of its implementation.
