Volunteers successfully scour the Ohlone Greenway

On Saturday June 19, Green team volunteers Howdy Goudey, Al Miller, Pam Austin, Robin Mitchell, Jay Ashikari, Robin Jorden, Jenny Hammer, Laurie Halliwell and Dave Weinstein removed trash from the Greenway between Central Avenue and Moeser Lane. They also cleaned around the El Cerrito Libray, Senior Center, several mini-parks, and around Stockton and San Pablo avenues. They filled 15 bags with trash and recyclables, and fished a shopping cart from a creek. Thanks for making El Cerrito cleaner and for protecting the Bay.

Following the cleanup, volunteers enjoyed complimentary refreshments and conversation.

Watch for our next monthly cleanup!
