Shopping Trips ($15) 9:30AM-3:30PM

Hiking ($12) - 1st & 3rd Friday of the month, 8:30A-2:30P. Bring lunch/snack and water. Wear sturdy shoes and dress in layers for changing weather. Hiking poles recommended. Download current hiking schedule.

Birding ($12) -  2nd & 4th Friday of the month, 8A-2P. Bring binoculars, snacks, water, lunch, bird book and sunscreen. Dress in layers for changing weather. Download current birding schedule.

Holiday Sweets & Goodies ($75) on Thurs., Dec. 12, 8AM-7PM. 10AM arrive at the Oakdale Cheese Factory. Sample a variety of their chesses and learn about the centuries-old traditions of Dutch chesses.11:30AM lunch at Fruit Yard Restaurant.1:30PM arrive at Roberts Ferry Nut Company and sample their famous almond candy corn, dried fruits and other sweet treats. 3PM arrive at Duarte Nursery for a guided tour and enjoy over 30 varieties of Poinsettias to choose from. 4:30PM arrive at Delicato Vineyards for a wine tasting. Depart at 5:30PM for the return trip home.  

Rubicon Bakery & Fortune Cookie Tour ($40) on Wed., Jan. 22, 9AM-3PM. Rubicon started in 1993, and was created as a social enterprise to help rebuild lives by employing, training, and supporting people who need a second chance. They hand mix and hand finish all their products. Lunch at Lee’s Garden Buffet. After lunch you will tour the Fortune Cookie Factory of Oakland California. 

ALEMBIC Guitar Company Tour ($45)  on Wed., Jan. 15, 9:30AM-3:30PM. Alembic is an American manufacturer of high-end electric basses, guitars and preamps. Founded in 1969, they began manufacturing pre-amps before building complete instruments. The company was founded by Owsley Stanley as a workshop in the rehearsal room of the Grateful Dead in Novato, CA. Lunch is included.  

The Art of Bulgari: La Dolce Vita & Beyond, 1950-1990 ($50) Wed., Feb. 12, 8:30AM-2PM. Want to steal a peek at the jewelry of Hollywood’s iconic movie stars? In “The Art of Bulgari: La Dolce Vita & Beyond, 1950-1990”, San Francisco’s de Young Museum shows off 146 of the famed Italian jeweler’s dazzling creations. That includes items from the personal collections of screen legends Sophia Loren, Ingrid Bergman, and Elizabeth Taylor, whose platinum necklace with emeralds and diamonds. Admission and audio guide included in fee. NO DOCENT. LUNCH ON YOUR OWN.

San Francisco Symphony ($70) - Michael Tilson Thomas conducts Mahler’s Third Symphony on Thurs., Feb. 27, 8AM-3PM.  “My symphony will be unlike anything the world has ever hears!” wrote Gustav Mahler of his Third Symphony. “All of nature speaks in it, telling deep secrets that one might guess only in a dream!” MTT and the Symphony reaffirm their standing among the world’s leading Mahler interpreters with the composer’s epic six-movement creation, the longest of his symphonies. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Mahler’s Third before the Symphony takes it to Carnegie Hall and Europe later this season. This is general admission UNRESERVED seating. You will receive coffee and donut before the talk about the performance and lunch after performance (TBA).   

Meyer Cookware Factory & Jelly Belly Tour ($45)
on Thurs., Feb. 20, 9AM-3PM. Visit the largest cookware company in the U.S., widely recognized including Circulon, Anolon, Faberware, Rachael Ray, Paula Deen and SilverStone cookware. Then we are off to Jelly Belly factory for a tour. Lunch at Hometown Buffet included.
