Thousands of people are expected to celebrate Independence Day at the City of El Cerrito worldOne July 4th Festival on Saturday, July 4, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with music on the Main Stage until 7:00 p.m. 

The admission-free family-friendly event is full of fun, food and entertainment.

  • El Cerrito Art Assoc. Art Show & Sale
  • Lots of great tasty food
  • Vendor booths by local business and service groups

The fun begins on Friday July 3rd, with a free performance by the El Cerrito High School Jazz Ensemble with  Special Guest Erik Jekabson (5pm-7pm)

Saturday's admission-free family-friendly event is full of fun, food and entertainment from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with music on the Main Stage until 7:00 p.m.

  • Children’s fun area with carnival games, jump houses and rides
  • Circus Imagination shows in the circus tent at 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm
  • Magical Nathaniel shows in the circus tent immediately after the Circus Imagination shows
  • BrasArte (Brazilian music and dance)  at 12:35pm, 3:10pm and 5:45pm
  • hula-hooping with The Audacity of Hoop near the Circus tent at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm
  • Creative Re-Use Crafting activity sponsored by the Arts & Culture Commission (all day)
  • El Cerrito Art Assoc. Art Show & Sale, plus demonstrations:    
    • Sylvia Mori - 10am-12pm Mosaics for children
    • Peter Hewitt - 12pm-2pm Paper Mache
    • Milada Pajaczkowski - 2pm-4pm Oil
    • Shay Stephens - 2pm-4pm Portraiture
    • Rich Fowler - all day Printmaking

Food Vendors
The City of El Cerrito will be selling beer & wine, hamburgers, veggie burgers, plus cotton candy, snow cones & drinks inside Cerrito Vista Park.

The Food Court (located in the Contra Costa Civic Theater parking lot on Pomona Avenue) will include delicious food from the following vendors from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

From I-80 East:
Take Central Ave Exit
Turn Right on Central Ave
Turn Left on San Pablo Ave
Turn Right on Moeser Lane
Park is 1/2 mile  up. 

From Berkeley/Kensington:
Head North on Arlington Blvd
Turn Left on Moeser Lane
Park is 0.8 mile down.
From I-80 West:
Take Cutting Blvd Exit
Turn Left on Cutting Blvd
Turn Right on San Pablo Ave
Turn Left on Moeser Lane
Park is 1/2 mile  up. 

During the event, there is limited street parking near Cerrito Vista Park. Attendees may park in the Moeser Lane Shopping Center on San Pablo Ave., (approximately 1/2 mile from the park). There will be a free Paratransit shuttle for disabled patrons between this parking lot and the park.

The City of El Cerrito/world One radio and community groups come together to hold the annual July 4th Festival. Donations have made the City of El Cerrito/world One July 4th Festival possible for over 25 years.  Your continued support of this community event is greatly appreciated.  Don’t wait another day to become a part of this special event. Volunteers are needed to help create a memorable, fun and safe community event. Individuals and groups are encouraged to contact either the Recreation Department or worldOne Radio about volunteer opportunities.
