The Creekside Park Lighting project involves the installation of a lighting system along about three blocks of an existing pedestrian pathway along Cerrito Creek in order to improve the attractiveness of the path as well as increase public safety of the path and the Creekside Park. The area of the pathway to be improved is approximately from Adams Street to the City limit.
The lighting system would be installed on the embankment of the creek, along the path, in the close proximity of the existing handrail. Further studies, including lighting analyses, would be conducted to determine the precise number, location and orientation of the new fixtures. Project is to be funded by Measure WW, the East Bay Regional Park District's Regional Open Space, Wildlife, Shoreline and Parks Bond Extension Measure of 2008.
