The City’s current Recycling Center is in need of an upgrade to meet current safety and operational standards as well as to update the site to better facilitate public use. The City has issued a Request for Qualifications/Request for Proposals for a Design-Build team to work with the El Cerrito community to design and construct the new Center.

The new Center will replace the existing Recycling Center (on the same site at 7501 Schmidt Lane), and support the City’s curbside recycling operations, community drop-off of other recyclables, and other environmental programs.

DESIGNERS AND BUILDERS:
Per Addendum #1, the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire from interested Design/Build entities is now due
on June 3, 2010 no later than 2 pm. (Original due date May 27.)
