- Over 663,000 square-feet of patch paving and pothole repair completed
- 324 curb ramps installed
- Over 1.6 miles of full-width street reconstruction completed
- 1.1 miles of full-width street resurfacing completed
With Measure A funding, during 2008 crews fixed potholes and other pavement failures as well as installed curb ramps throughout the City. This work was completed ahead of schedule and within budget. Thank you to all City residents for their patience during this busy construction season. We couldn’t have done it without your cooperation!
The work completed in 2008 was prepatory work required before those streets can be resurfaced. In 2009, crews will begin the three-year process of resurfacing the streets repaired last year. (Due to rain, crews typically do not work between November and April.)
Waiting to resurface most streets until at least 2009 was planned to allow time for utilities to conduct any planned work that requires trenching prior to the City finishing the streets.
