The Albany Unified School District is recirculating revised section of the draft Environmental Impact Report for the Albany High School Cougar Field Improvements Project. The proposed project will result in minor demolition, followed by new facilities that include a synthetic field and night lighting. A copy of the revisions is available for public review for a 45-day period from April 16, 2007 to June 1, 2007 at the District Office, the Albany High School Office, the Albany Middle School Office, the Albany Library, the Albany Community Development Department, the El Cerrito Library and the El Cerrito Community Development Department.

Comments regarding the revisions to the draft EIR may be made in writing to the District. The District requests that comments be limited to the revised portions of the draft EIR. Comments should be addressed to Dr. William Wong, Albany Unified School District, 904 Talbot Avenue, Albany, CA 94706, or by email to wmwong@albany.k12.ca.us, and received by the District no later than June 1, 2007 at 4:30pm. The District Board anticipates that it will consider action to certify the recirculated EIR at a public meeting on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Gymnasium of Albany Middle School, at 9:00am.
