On Friday May 3, 2002 at approximately 11:00am Officer Bonini responded to the Albertson’s store located at 1000 El Cerrito Plaza on the report of a shoplifter in custody. Officer Bonini arrested Marlon Donte Germany (27) of Richmond after it was determined that he concealed several item under his clothing and exited the business with out making an attempt to pay for the property. Mr. Germany was booked into the county jail charged with felony petty theft with prior convictions. The El Cerrito Police Department will seek a criminal complaint with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. On Monday May 6, 2002 at approximately 7:11pm, Louis Marsh (39) and Brenda Marsh (38) of San Pablo were arrested at Target after they exited the store with unpaid merchandise. Officers were standing by, following an alert from Target Loss Prevention that the suspects were concealing merchandise inside the store. Mr. and Mrs. Marsh were charged with commercial burglary and booked into County Jail in Martinez. The El Cerrito Police Department secured a criminal complaint with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office. On Saturday May 11, 2002 at approximately 10:00am Officers responded to an address on Fairmount Ave on the report of a subject brandishing a metal pole. Officers arrested Chung Kim after he was placed under citizen’s arrest for brandishing a deadly weapon. Mr. Kim was booked into the county jail. The El Cerrito Police Department will seek a criminal complaint with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. On Sunday May 12, 2002 at approximately 10:10pm Officer Zink was conducting a follow-up investigation regarding the recovery of a stolen motor vehicle at 922 Galvin Dr. Officer Zink contacted and arrested James Matthew Larkin (26) of El Cerrito for the possession of the stolen vehicle and found that he was in possession of Methamphetamine during the booking process at the El Cerrito Police Department. Mr. Larkin was booked into the county jail in Martinez. The El Cerrito Police Department will seek a criminal complaint with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. On Tuesday May 7, 2002 at approximately 7:30pm Officer Greenwood conducted an investigation into an identity theft involving an El Cerrito resident. During the investigation Officer Greenwood learned that Raymond Louie Ou (27) of Fremont had obtained another persons identifying information and opened several charge accounts. Mr. Ou then made purchases with the cards. Officer Greenwood arrested Mr. Ou and booked him at the El Cerrito Police Department charged with identity theft. The El Cerrito Police Department will seek a criminal complaint with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. On Thursday May 9, 2002 at approximately 4:15pm Officer Albrandt responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 9800 San Pablo Ave on the report of a subject attempting to pass a forged check. Officer Albrandt arrested Jeanne Marie Bailey (32) and Elison Bailey III (35) after it was determined that Mrs. Bailey opened a fraudulent account at the Bank and attempted to make a withdrawal using a stolen check. Numerous stolen identifications were recovered from Mr. Bailey’s vehicle. Mr. Bailey and Mrs. Bailey were booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. The El Cerrito Police Department will seek a criminal complaint with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. On Monday May 13, 2002 at approximately 2:40pm Officers responded to the Wells Fargo Bank on the report of a Forgery in progress. Officer Bonini contacted and detained Lamar Anthony Robinson (39) of Richmond inside the bank while the report was investigated by Officer Tang. During Officer Tang’s investigation it was determined that Mr. Robinson was attempting to obtain cash from an account using a check that had been reported lost or stolen several weeks prior. Officer Tang arrested Mr. Robinson and booked him into the county jail for check forgery. It was determined during booking that Mr. Robinson was on active parole resulting in a Parole Hold being placed on him by the Department of Corrections. The El Cerrito Police Department will seek a criminal complaint with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. On Wednesday May 15, 2002 at approximately 6:30pm Officer Savko responded to the Ross Store located at 2000 El Cerrito Plaza on the report of a subject attempting to pass a forged check. Officer Savko arrested Terri Ann Hunt (19) of Oakland after it was determined that she attempted to forge a stolen check using a false identification. Mrs. Hunt was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. The El Cerrito Police Department will seek a criminal complaint with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. On Friday May 17, 2002 at approximately 1:30am Officers responded to the area of San Pablo Ave. near Wall Ave. on the report of a female being forced into a van. Responding officers stopped the van leaving the area and contacted the involved parties. Officers learned that the disturbance involved two El Cerrito residence that were involved in a dispute over the use of a vehicle parked in the area. During the investigation it was determined that Andre Louis Henry Jr (27) of El Cerrito had assaulted a female victim causing an injury to her arm and shoulder. Mr. Henry was arrested and booked into the county jail for Felony assault. The El Cerrito Police Department will seek a criminal complaint with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. On Sunday May 19, 2002 at approximately 4:30pm Officers responded to an address on Seaview Dr. in El Cerrito on the report of a disturbance. During the investigation it was determined that an assault had taken place resulting in an injury to one of the occupants of the residence. Officers arrested Hamid Hashemi (42) of El Cerrito for Felony assault and booked him into the county jail. On Monday May 20, 2002 at approximately 2:30pm Corporal Horgan conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation in the area of San Pablo Ave. near Blake St. During Corporal Horgan’s investigation it was determined that the driver of the vehicle was wanted on an outstanding warrant. Clennis Earl Snyder (46) of Pittsburg was arrested on the warrant. During a search of his vehicle Mr. Snyder was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Mr. Snyder was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. The El Cerrito Police Department will seek a criminal complaint with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. On Tuesday May 21, 2002 at approximately 9:30pm Corporal Horgan conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation in the area of San Pablo Ave. near Conlon Ave. During Corporal Horgan’s investigation it was determined that the driver o the vehicle was intoxicated. Reid Granberry Ainsworth (51) of Richmond was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Mr. Ainsworth was also found in possession of Cocaine. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and DUI then booked into the county jail. On Friday May 24, 2002 at approximately 7:30am Officer Tam conducted an investigation into a reported assault that took place in an El Cerrito Residence. During Officer Tam’s investigation it was determined that Adriano Francesco Morse (32) of El Cerrito had assaulted another person while in his residence. Mr. Morse was arrested for slapping, biting, and whipping the victim with an electric cable causing injury. He was booked into the county jail for felony assault. The El Cerrito Police Department will seek a criminal complaint with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office.
