After an investigation Linda Faye Higgs, a 41 year old female resident of Richmond, was arrested for theft. Evans was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday September 29, 2007 at about 8:28 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to the area of Eastshore Blvd and Potrero Ave on a report of a disturbance. After an investigation James Palmer, a 41 year old male resident of Berkeley, was arrested for assault. Palmer was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday September 29, 2007 at about 12:43 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to Wells Fargo Bank, at 9800 San Pablo Ave, on a report of a forgery in progress. After an investigation a 17 year old female resident of Oakland was arrested for forgery. The female was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

After an investigation Nakia Nicole King, a 29 year old female resident of San Pablo, was arrested for forgery. After an investigation Todd McCarver, a 25 year old male resident of Richmond, was arrested for theft. On Wednesday September 26, 2007 at about 7:11 am Officer Savko arrested Dekelton Leroy Boykins, a 23 year old male resident of Richmond, after he was found in possession of crack cocaine and methamphetamine during a pedestrian stop. Boykins was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Wednesday September 26, 2007 at about 7:11 am Officer Savko conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested Joey Stover, a 34 year old male resident of Richmond, on an outstanding warrant obtained after Stover was identified as the person responsible for a vehicle theft on July 24, 2007. Stover was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Friday September 21, 2007 at about 5:30 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to the 2600 block of Tamalpais Ave on a report of a disturbance. After an investigation Gregory Jay Gordon, a 50 year old male resident of El Cerrito, was arrested for assault. Gordon was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

After an investigation Esther Marie Nash, a 49 year old female resident of Richmond, and Shannon Elayne Singleton, a 43 year old female resident of Rodeo, were arrested for theft. Nash and Singleton were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Tuesday September 18, 2007 at about 2:47 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to Marshall's, at 10759 San Pablo Ave, on a report of shoplifting. After an investigation Angelo McGowen, a 45 year old male resident of Albany, was arrested for theft. McGowen was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday September 15, 2007 at about 2:10 am Officer Purdy arrested Adam Watson Davis, a 36 year old male resident of Richmond, and Michelle Rose Davis, a 30 year old female resident of Richmond, after they were found in possession of stolen and forged checks during a traffic stop. Both subjects were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Friday September 14, 2007 at about 9:24 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 900 block of Galvin Drive. After an investigation a 17 year old male resident of Berkeley was arrested after it was determined that he, and another named juvenile, had threatened several other teens following a party and had taken their property. The juvenile was transported to Juvenile Hall pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Friday September 14, 2007 at about 4:15 am El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 11800 block of San Pablo Ave. After an investigation Julio Saca, a 27 year old male resident of El Cerrito, and Ulysses Munson, a 27 year old male resident of Richmond, were arrested after it was determined that they had forced an acquaintance to provide them with transportation while they attempted to commit a crime. Saca was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility and Munson was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Thursday September 13, 2007 at about 12:30 pm Detective Leone arrested Kendel Timothy Hager, a 23 year old male resident of Berkeley, on an outstanding Ramey warrant obtained after Hager was identified as the person responsible for a robbery and shooting that occurred on Saturday May 12, 2007. Hager was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office

On Saturday September 22, 2007 at about 10:00 pm Officer Hubbs arrested Lucia Navarro, a 25 year old female resident of Richmond, for child endangerment after Navarro was contacted during a traffic enforcement stop. Navarro was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday September 22, 2007 at about 6:55 am Officer Thepkaysone arrested Joyce Lopez, a 24 year old female resident of Bay Point, and Frank Denbae, a 40 year old male transient, after they were found in possession of a stolen vehicle, other items of stolen property, tar heroin and drug paraphernalia during a suspicious vehicle investigation. Lopez and Denbae were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Friday September 21, 2007 at about 1:55 am the above subject, an African American male, 25-35 years old, short and thin, with medium length dreadlocks and a short goatee, was armed with a firearm and robbed the 7-Eleven Store in El Cerrito. During the robbery the suspect was wearing a blue and black jacket, a black beanie and blue jeans.

On Thursday September 20, 2007 at about 5:00 pm Teresa Lee Nishimura, a 45 year old female resident of Berkeley, was arrested at the El Cerrito Police Department for a theft that occurred on Monday September 3, 2007 at Longs Drugs, at 10650 San Pablo Ave. Nishimura was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

Walshin was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's office.

On Tuesday September 18, 2007 at about 12:25 pm Officer Matsui arrested Oran Brown, a 61 year old male resident of Vallejo, Jesse Evans, a 47 year old male resident of Richmond, and Milton Parker, a 65 year old male resident of Richmond, after the group was found in possession of a stolen vehicle during a traffic stop. Brown, Evans and Parker were released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's office.

On Thursday September 11, 2007 at about 2:12 pm Officer Matsui arrested Andrew Brian Crow, a 34 year old male resident of Vallejo, after Crow was found in possession of methamphetamine during a suspicious vehicle investigation. Crow was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Sunday, September 9, 2007 at about 1630 hours El Cerrito Police Officers were dispatched to a theft call in the 5900 block of Cutting Boulevard. The officers arrived and determined that a suspect had stolen the victim's bicycle. The officers located and arrested the suspect, 41 year old Richmond resident Paul Harrell. They booked Harrell for 666 P.C.- Petty Theft With Priors and then sent him to County Jail. The case is pending review by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's office.

On Saturday September 8, 2007 at about 1:59 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Albertson's, at 1000 El Cerrito Plaza. After an investigation Sedrick Shelton King, a 28 year old male resident of Oakland, was arrested for theft. King was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday, September 8, 2007 at about 0850 hours an El Cerrito Police Officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Schmidt Lane and San Pablo Avenue for a violation of the California Vehicle Code. The officer determined that the driver and sole occupant, 32 year old Oakland resident Jose Torres was on probation with a search clause. The officer conducted an investigation and arrested Torres for transportation of narcotics and possession of narcotics for sales. The officer booked Torres and then sent him to the County Jail, pending the review of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's office.

On Friday, September 7, 2007 at about 1950 hours an El Cerrito Police Officer responded to a shoplifting call at Albertson's, located at 1000 El Cerrito Plaza. The officer arrived and conducted an investigation. The officer took 42 year old Berkeley resident, Charles Bachinski into custody for 666 P.C.- Petty Theft With Priors. The officer booked Bachinski and then sent him to the County Jail, pending review by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's office.

On Thursday, September 6, 2007 at about 1357 hours El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a theft in progress call at Trader Joes, located at 225 El Cerrito Plaza. While the officers were enroute they learned that one suspect was stealing liquor from inside the store, while two other suspects waited outside in a stolen vehicle. The suspects fled in the vehicle, just prior to the officer's arrival. The officers stopped the suspect vehicle just as it was leaving the El Cerrito Plaza. The officers recovered the stolen car and liquor. The officers arrested three Richmond residents, 49 year old Sandra Puckett, 34 year old Harold Reed and 38 year old Anthony Jackson.

All of the suspects were booked for various felonies and then transported to the County jail, pending review of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's office.

On Thursday, September 6, 2007 at about 1359 hours El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a suspicious circumstance in the 1700 block of Lexington Avenue. Officers arrived and determined that there was a residential burglary in progress. As officers were setting a perimeter, the suspects burst from the house and attempted to flee on foot. The officers arrested 19 year old Oakland resident Roderick Martin and 20 year old Oakland resident Leartis Lane. The suspects had property from the house on their persons. The suspects were booked for burglary and were sent to the county jail in Martinez. El Cerrito Detectives presented this case to the District Attorney and felony charges were filed against the suspects.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at about 1524 hours El Cerrito Police Officers responded to residential burglary in progress in the 300 block of Pomona Avenue. Officers arrived and determined that the suspects had fled on foot, just prior to their arrival. Officers conducted searches in the area and located the three juvenile suspects nearby. The officers determined that the suspects had also burglarized residences in the 200 block of Ashbury Avenue and the 7500 block of Rockway Avenue. The property from all three burglaries was recovered. The suspects, all Richmond residents were booked for three counts of burglary. The suspects were transported to the Juvenile Hall, pending the filing of charges by the District Attorney's Office.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at about 1421 hours El Cerrito Police Officers responded to A theft investigation at the El Cerrito Royale retirement home, located at 6510 Gladys Avenue. The officers arrived and determined that 38 year old Oakland resident; Artina Richardson had entered several of the residents' rooms and had stolen property from them. Officers located Ms. Richardson nearby and then arrested her. Ms. Richardson was booked for Burglary and Petty Theft with Priors. Ms. Richardson was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility, pending the filing of charges by the District Attorney's Office.

On Tuesday September 4, 2007 at about 12:55 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to Bank of America, at 10422 San Pablo Ave, on a report of a forgery. After an investigation Michael Canti Russell, a 26 year old male resident of Richmond, was arrested for forgery. Russell was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility, pending the filing of charges by the District Attorney's Office.

After an investigation Adam Ianni, a 20 year old male resident of New Jersey, and Jesse Whitten, a 20 year old male resident of Oregon, were arrested for theft. Ianni and Whitten were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility, pending the filing of charges by the District Attorney's Office.

On Tuesday September 4, 2007 at about 4:13 pm Officer Matsui arrested Isom Thompson, a 51 year old male resident of Berkeley, after Thompson was found in possession of stolen property during a pedestrian stop. On Monday September 3, 2007 at about 12:30 am Officer Barr arrested Tonya Nicole Harrison, a 28 year old female resident of Albany, and Jeffrey Paul Ortiz, a 40 year old male resident of San Pablo, after they were found in possession of a controlled substance for sales during a traffic stop. Harrison and Ortiz were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility, pending the filing of charges by the District Attorney's Office.
