The City of El Cerrito wants to hear your input on the development of an Ohlone Greenway improvement plan.

The Ohlone Greenway is an approximately 2.7 mile multi-use path that runs directly beneath elevated BART tracks and provides recreation and non-motorized transportation opportunities to City residents, as well as residents from adjacent cities. The Greenway also provides access to shopping areas, schools, and two BART stations. The Greenway will be partially damaged during BART Earthquake Safety Program activities beginning in 2009. The current planning effort will be coordinated with BART so that restoration of the trail is consistent with the city�s and residents� goals. Other trail improvements identified in the planning process may be pursued concurrently or separately from the Earthquake Safety Program restoration.

Process to Date:

The City has held a series of focus groups and public workshops focused on specific topics related to the development of an Ohlone Greenway improvement plan.
