ARLINGTON PARK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
The Arlington Park Improvements Project will implement the high priority recommendations in the 2019 El Cerrito Parks and Recreation Facilities Master Plan. The project scope includes renovation of essential components of the clubhouse: interior painting, flooring, new windows and new doors, fixtures and counter tops and ADA improvements. Picnic site improvements being considered include landscape enhancements, graded and concrete areas around picnic tables, accessibility improvements and installation of new trash & recycling receptacles and similar amenities. The project aims to enhance and improve an existing neighborhood park to maximize its use, improve environmental and ecological services while reducing maintenance costs, encouraging volunteer efforts, and meeting multiple State of California Natural Resources Agency Department of Parks and Recreation Office of Grants and Local Services (OGALS) goals. The project components will be evaluated and refined with public input and based on available budget.
This project is funded by the California Parks and Water Bond Act of 2018 (Proposition 68) Per Capita Program and El Cerrito's Parks and Recreation Facilities Fund (Measure H).
