November 4 - Contra Costa County Responds to Climbing COVID-19 Cases
With data from the past week showing a marked increase in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the county, health officials are taking steps to protect the community with modest changes to local health orders.
Under the new order, select high-risk activities must be modified:
• Outdoor bars: prohibited (except when alcohol is served only with dine-in meals)
• Indoor dining: maximum of 25% occupancy or 100 people, whichever is fewer
• Indoor movie theaters: maximum 25% of occupancy or 100 people, whichever is fewer
• Places of worship and cultural ceremonies: indoors maximum 25% occupancy or 100 people, whichever is fewer
• Cardrooms and satellite wagering sites: outdoors only
• Collegiate and professional sporting events: spectators limited to 25 people (maximum of three households)
